Walk for Hope 2009

The 21st Annual Thad and Alice Eure Walk for Hope will be held on Sunday October 11th. This is 10k Walk from the Angus Barn Restaurant through Umstead State Park that raises funds for scientific research into the causes, cures and to discover more effective treatments for mental illness. The Walk ends back at the Angus Barn for a fabulous post walk celebration with live music, great food and prizes.

This year we will also have the 1st Annual Run for Hope on a certified course with timing chips, etc.

It is a fun day, a great way to get exercise and spend time with friends and family and all the while helping many who suffer in silence.

Team members may sell raffle tickets to raise funds again this year. Grand Prize: 2 tickets on American Airlines.

We are also selling tickets for hand car washes at Gentle Touch car wash on Wake Forest Road in Raleigh. The cost is $20 per ticket and of this $8 goes directly to the Walk fund. Regular price for the wash is $30 or more depending on whether the vehicle is a car or small to LARGE SUV or truck. These would make a great gift item.
