Beer People,

O.K., I've been bad about announcing our events around NC.  I'll try to make amends now.

Thursday, Feb 12 = Pint Night at Old Chicago in Wake Forest (featuring our Milk Stout Imperial Pint glasses)

Saturday, Feb 14 = Tasting at Chatham Market in Pittsboro

Sunday, Feb 15 = a special cask tapped the Recovery Room in Chapel Hill

Thursday, Feb 26 = Beer Dinner at the Tasting Room in Sandy Springs GA (not NC, but still fun!)

Friday, Feb 27 = Tasting at Earth Fare Briarcreek in Raleigh (to benefit the NC Trade Path Association)

Saturday, March 7 = Philadelphia Craft Beer Festival (not an NC event, but we're excited about it!)

Thursday, March 12 = Beer dinner at Ganache in Greensboro

Tuesday, March 17 = Beer dinner at Four Square in Durham

Wednesday, March 18 = a special cask tapped at Broad Street Cafe in Durham

Thanks, as always, for your support!  I'll try to be better about keeping this board up to date on our special events.

Cheers,

Paul, thanks for taking the time to post all of this. Are there any details on these beer dinners yet? I'm sure folks other than myself would like to know more...

Thanks for your interest.  I don't have more details just now (beers are being tasted and pairings concocted ...).  I'll post more info when I learn it.

I have another event to add as well.  Thursday March 19 = beer dinner at Earth Fare in Boone.

Cask Ale Enthusiasts,

The cask of Duck-Rabbit Bourbon Barrel Aged Milk Stout at Recovery Room on Sunday, Feb. 15 (my birthday!) is scheduled to be tapped at 6:30 pm.  The hope is that we can enjoy some beer before the UNC game tip-off.  I hope I'll see some of you there!

Just got back from the BA Milk Stout cask at The Recovery Room. Great time with the brewers and a few beer folks. Beer was delicious too!

Hungry beer people,

Details for the Duck-Rabbit beer dinner at Ganache are set.  The dinner starts at 6:00; everything is a la cart, so there's no set price.  The menu looks spectacular.  See details at http://ganachebakery.com/

I like the pricing. You could get everything and come out at $41.  Is the beer à la carte as well?

Tuesday, March 17 = Beer dinner at Four Square in Durham

Is this event happening? Barely a week away and no sign of it on the Four Square list of events.

Duck-Rabbit Supporters,

First, regarding the Ganache dinner, I believe (but am not absolutely certain) that the beer is also a la carte.

Next, as to the dinner at Four Square, I was just informed that it will be by reservation only.  The menu is as follows:

First Course

Beer & Cheddar Soup
stuffed potato soufflé

Brown Ale

Second Course

Pumpernickel Tacos
corned beef & cabbage

Porter

Third Course

Ploughman’s Plate
bison bresaola, Colston Basset Stilton

Milk Stout

Dessert

Russian Imperial Stout Sundae
smoked butter “cigar” and mocha sauce

Russian Imperial Stout

$45 per person, plus tax & gratuity.

Cheers,
