As a former bar owner I know the liabilities a bar takes on by serving alcohol. That waitress probably could have been nicer or handeled it better but if you were to pull out of that parking lot hit someone kill them not only are you at fault but she and the places she works at are also.

Case in point the bars that the news reporter from greensboro that killed someone after leaving a bar are possible going to be under a law suit for over serving or being irresposible.

Also did you ever think that A.L.E. could have posible been in the building and she was just covering her ass. A.L.E. fines can be as much as 100,00 for the owners and up to 5,000 for the employee(plus loss of job) should they not follow the rules set by the A.L.E.

I hate being asked if I am ok to drive but I have to think its not just my life in jeopardy its the waitress's lively hood, the bars lively hood, and any one they I may harm even tho I only had 4 beers. Even a small bump up after 4 beers could put you in jail and possible cause the oss of your vehicle should the cop smell the beer on you, so just think about that when you are confronted with this situation.

That what pissed me off, I have been asked before and was fine with it.

I have been asked before if I was ok to drive; but, never in this confrontational manner. We had left the restaurant and were talking in the parking lot. Other than the confrontation everything was good. I will stick with Village Draft House, The Raleigh Times Bar and others for a year, and then give them another try.

I will wait about a year before going back. I hope the waitress will
know what she is doing by then, or she will have left. I will chalk
it up to her inexperience for now.

Other than that I was happy with beer and food.

Yes, 4 beers in 3 hours. They came out to the parking lot and challenged us. The waitress had a burr up her ass for people that drink more than 2 beers (IMO).

I had the worst experience at a brewery that I have had (I am 51 years old) we had each beer; about 4 apiece. We were challenged in the parking lot if we were ok to drive home. We arrived before noon and left at 3:15, had 2 entrees and an appetizer. The waitress had said earlier that she could not drive after two beers. I think this clouded her judgement. I will never go there again.

That must be why I had to go to the Village Draft House for a few beers at lunch today.

This past Saturday (07/28/07) the beer, food, and service was back to pre-expansion quality (good in my opinion). I must have caught them on a bad night a couple of weeks ago.

I usually go there at least once a month, I hope Friday was just a fluke.
It was sub par for them, in my experience.

I was there Friday evening, the beer was good, but the service and food was not up to par. I hope this is just short term growing pains.

I tried to buy tickets on July 15th and was told that they had not been printed yet. I am in the Raleigh store every week and I did not see the event promoted at all.

Various Dogfish Head beers are my standard beers. I also like to keep some local beers such as Mash House or Apex on hand. Up until last fall I had to go to Delaware several times a year, so I always had a nice supply of Dogfish Head on had.
