« on: August 06, 2009, 03:14:11 PM »
really suprised there's no talk about this yet since it passed yesterday and is scheduled to go into effect september, 1.  going to be 53.177 cents/gallon on beer.  if i'm doing my math correctly that's around $.30 per 6-pack and $8.25 per 15.5 gallon (1/2 bbl) keg being passed on to the distributor.

SweetWater Brewing Company of Atlanta will make their Triangle debut early next week.  All you will see is 420 draught in limited accounts for a period of time.  This will be followed by 420, IPA, and Blue package with additional draught even further down the road.  I will wait until the beer is flowing to announce locations.

nc beer stores/bars discussion / Hope Valley Bottle Shop
« on: November 24, 2008, 06:55:32 PM »
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not, l but there is a new (relatively) bottle shop in the Woodcroft shopping center in Durham.  It is a few doors to the right of the Food Lion.  Drew and Thomas have done a wonderful job of incorporating some great beers into their outstanding wine selection.  They just added the new Red Hook Limited Release, Double Black Stout.  Its a great imperial stout for the price and still carries the characteristic coffee flavor of old despite not being affiliated with Starbucks anymore.  Stop by and check them out.  Support local business!!!
