nc beer talk / Re: Huske Hardware

I visit Huske regularly. Julies beer was better to me, more interesting depth of flavor and aroma. The current lineup taste like DME homebrew kit. Just not special any more. As for the watermelon I get a sulfur aroma when I bring it to my nose but they say they're selling a lot of it...good for them. Now, I just go on Sundays and drink the $1 guest brews at Huske.

Toasted oak with grains of paradise. I like the way you hopped the last firkin on 4/8. As for liqour flavor...bourbon is a little played out. A hint Southern Comfort flavor may be tasty.

I dropped by Thursday and had a big glass of the Firkin Spring Refreshment Blond. Very clean finish with pleasant citrusy undertones and nice springtime aroma. Superior! No yeasty palate at all. Thanks for that one Julie.

I will agree with the observation of too many people for the tickets to cost $40.
I very much enjoyed the special batch beers that were presented by some of the local area brewerys, not just their every day stuff. Shows they appreciate us, their customers. Some of the locals that only had their regular stuff can learn a lesson. You know who you are...

The beer at Huske was never even adequate; I've tried it several times. I'm looking forward to a new operator. Mash House beer is really good but we do need a new selection.
